CDR Pompe certifications: a history of quality, continuing into 2025

certificazioni CDR Pompe

Certifications for CDR Pompe represent a crucial aspect. Our history is founded on a solid family tradition, which has allowed us to grow over the decades. The numerous certifications that our company has obtained over the years underline not only a constant improvement over time, but also our desire to provide products at the forefront of technology, and our continuous search for new solutions for those who continue to believe in us and our projects.

A constant commitment to innovation, excellence and customer satisfaction has led us to where we are now, leaders in the industrial, chemical and pharmaceutical process pump sector, nationally and internationally.

1972-1999- 2024: CDR: where standardisation meets quality

Since the first years of production, CDR Pompe has stood out for its quality and innovation. A crucial step on the road to excellence was taken in 1972, with the introduction of centrifugal pumps compliant with DIN 24256 standards.

Internationally recognised as the benchmark for the design and construction of centrifugal pumps, the pumps built according to this standard made it possible to meet the needs of an increasingly sophisticated chemical market, which required ever more reliable solutions for fluid handling. With the construction of these pumps, one of the first CDR Pompe certifications, a period of growth and expansion began that allowed us to lay the foundations of our future success story.

ISO 9001 certification

1999 marked a further crucial step, with CDR Pompe obtaining ISO 9001 certification. ISO 9001 certification is an international standard that certifies the implementation of an effective quality management system (QMS) within an organisation. This standard is based on fundamental principles such as customer focus, staff involvement and continuous improvement.

ISO 9001 certified companies demonstrate their ability to provide products and services that meet customer requirements and current regulations. Certification not only improves the company’s reputation, but also helps optimise internal processes, increasing operational efficiency and reducing costs. It is a fundamental step for competitiveness in the global market, and so has it has proved for us. After years of hard work, sacrifice and innovation, obtaining ISO 9001 certification has opened up significant opportunities, strengthening the trust of customers and business partners globally. This recognition has further cemented CDR Pompe’s reputation as an innovative and trusted company in the industry.

We have thus improved the trust of our customers and our suppliers, and significant new development opportunities have opened up before us. But the pursuit of continuous innovation remains ongoing.

CDR Pompe certifications: from ATEX to ECOVADIS

As the years pass and technology improves, the issue of workplace safety is now even more important than ever. The engineering and technical challenges posed by the new industry have led the company to advance further, guaranteeing high-quality and extremely safe pumps.

That is why almost all of our range is built in compliance with the ATEX directive, which regulates the operation of machinery in environments with potentially explosive atmospheres. Our key sectors – industrial, chemical and pharmaceutical – fall into this category.

That is why our pumps are designed and built to operate safely in Zones 1 and 2 of the ATEX directive, and are also rigorously tested and inspected to meet the temperature classes ranging from T2 to T6 (here is an explanation of the ATEX parameters currently in force).

But CDR Pompe certifications are not only about safety or quality. Our company is also very focused on sustainability and the circular economy. We have taken this path because we believe in a better and more sustainable future for the next generations.

To ensure maximum transparency and certify our commitment to the environment, CDR Pompe is certified on the ECOVADIS portal. This is a prestigious global platform that assesses, monitors and rates the sustainability practices implemented by businesses. This is a great source of pride for us, because we believe that a cleaner economy and a healthy work environment are key to continuing to improve in the coming years.

CDR Pompe Eurasian certifications

The Eurasian market has always been one of CDR Pompe’s greatest strengths. Expanding into these markets guarantees a significant opportunity for growth and even greater potential for expansion. That’s why our products are designed and issued with the Eurasian Conformity Certificate (EAC). This is a very important document, which certifies that the products comply with the technical and regulatory standards required by the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan).

This ensures that consumers are protected from defective or dangerous goods.

In order to obtain the certificate, all companies are required to go through a very thorough evaluation process, conducted by accredited certification bodies. This process includes both inspections and laboratory tests on the products. EAC marking is mandatory for various sectors, including machinery, chemicals and children’s items, facilitating international trade and simplifying export procedures.

For companies, including CDR Pompe, obtaining the EAC certificate is essential to access these markets, ensuring product safety, quality and compliance with local regulations.

Heading into 2025 with plenty of exciting new developments

By the first quarter of 2025, we will complete the assessment process to achieve AEO certification. AEO certification, which stands for “Authorised Economic Operator”, is a recognition issued by the customs authorities of the European Union. It certifies the reliability of a company in customs operations, offering advantages such as simplified procedures, fewer controls and greater cooperation with the authorities, thus facilitating international trade. For us at CDR Pompe, it is a great recognition, as very few companies in Italy hold this certification.

In the coming months, we also plan to expand all our existing ranges with new sizes and pumps for high temperatures.

2024 ended with a significant increase, with the CDR brand continuing to gain appreciation and recognition. We would like to express our gratitude to all the customers, distributors and agents who have shared this process of growth with us. We look forward to presenting all the new developments we have in store for 2025.

All our pumps, including the new DTN range that has just been officially launched (in all its versions: PP, ETFE and PFA), are produced according to the strictest quality standards, in compliance with safety regulations and all the relevant legal requirements.
