SUMMARY
CDR Pompe’s commitment to sustainability translates into concrete, measurable actions. The company has chosen to equip its facility with a 99 kW photovoltaic system installed on the roof of its headquarters, capable of generating clean energy and significantly reducing the environmental impact of its operations. The numbers speak for themselves: over 221 MWh of energy produced since activation, of which more than 83 MWh in the last year alone. This result is equivalent to removing 137 cars from the road for one year and preventing the emission of more than 122 tons of CO₂, along with 19 kg of nitrogen oxides and 12 kg of sulfur dioxide.
The environmental benefits are equally tangible: the energy produced would be enough to power 637 computers for an entire year or keep televisions running for over 576,000 hours. This data, monitored and updated in real time, provides a transparent snapshot of the results achieved.
Alongside the photovoltaic system, CDR Pompe has introduced additional initiatives, such as an electric vehicle charging station available to employees and visitors, reinforcing its commitment to an efficient and environmentally responsible industrial future. This article describes that journey, demonstrating how innovation can go hand in hand with sustainability.
CDR PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM: A COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
Talking about sustainability today means taking on a responsibility that companies must demonstrate through concrete facts and measurable data. To turn statements into meaningful actions, we decided to install a 100 kW photovoltaic system on the roof of our headquarters in Bollate (MI). This is not a symbolic investment but a determined and decisive step toward a production model capable of combining innovation, efficiency, and clean energy.
In recent years, CDR Pompe has taken a clear path: reducing environmental impact without compromising the quality and performance of its products. The photovoltaic system is now one of the most important components of this strategy, providing renewable energy that is measurable, transparent, actually used in the company, and accessible in real time.
REAL-TIME DATA FROM THE PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM
The strength of CDR Pompe’s photovoltaic installation, beyond its installed capacity of 100 kW, lies in the results it produces every day. Through the company’s sustainability portal, anyone can access real-time data and verify the positive impact this choice is having on the environment.
Numbers speak louder than words: since activation, the system has already generated 221.40 MWh of energy, with 83.65 MWh produced in 2025 alone—hundreds of hours of production powered entirely by the sun, directly contributing to the company’s energy needs.
Renewable energy production also has a direct effect on emissions: from November 2024 to today, the system has prevented more than 122 tons of CO₂ from entering the atmosphere, along with nearly 20 kg of nitrogen oxides (NOₓ) and over 12 kg of sulfur oxides (SO₂), two of the main contributors to air pollution.
Translating these figures into practical equivalents helps clarify their impact: it means removing the equivalent of 137 cars from the road for a year, powering more than 1,050 computers for twelve months, and generating enough energy for over 2.2 million hours of television.
A BROADER ECOSYSTEM OF SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVES
The photovoltaic system is at the heart of a broader sustainability journey that CDR Pompe has been developing for years. The energy produced is used directly to power offices and production departments, reducing dependence on traditional sources and fossil fuels. The company has also installed an electric vehicle charging station—another step toward low-emission mobility.
These initiatives are complemented by ongoing efforts to streamline processes and carefully manage materials, in line with the sustainability certifications and standards the company adheres to, such as the recent certification obtained on the EcoVadis platform. This is a systemic approach that does not isolate environmental issues but integrates them into strategic, production, and innovation-related decisions taken in recent years.
The decision to make production and environmental impact data publicly available through a dedicated online portal is a transparency choice that sets CDR Pompe apart. We believe that talking about sustainability is fundamental today, but words must be followed by evidence and concrete action. For this reason, offering the ability to verify real-time data from our photovoltaic system is, in our view, a demonstration of consistency.
For partners and customers, CDR means working with a company that not only innovates technologically but also takes responsibility for reducing its environmental impact—and communicates it clearly.
TRANSPARENCY AND VISION FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
In today’s industrial landscape, the question of how to combine growth with environmental responsibility is increasingly pressing. In this context, the experience of CDR Pompe offers a clear and replicable model: through the intelligent use of solar energy and conscious decision-making, it is possible to build a sustainable future without sacrificing production efficiency.
CDR Pompe’s photovoltaic project demonstrates that sustainability and industry can grow together—not someday, not in the future, but today: thousands of kilowatt-hours produced, tons of emissions avoided, and concrete benefits that translate into advantages for the company, for customers, and for the environment.
