The design and manufacture of custom pumps is one of the greatest challenges we face daily at CDR. The vast world of centrifugal pumps often sees us engaged with targeted and specific projects in critical and complex system parts, where customers find it difficult to find the right supplier or the most suitable product for their needs. Each system has its own unique characteristics, and identifying the ideal solution requires experience, expertise and a highly specialised approach.
At CDR Pompe, for several decades now, we have focused our efforts and investments on the research and development of new and increasingly high-performance pumps, designed to ensure efficiency, reliability and safety even in the most extreme conditions.
Thanks to a highly qualified team of experts and the use of cutting-edge technologies, we develop tailor-made solutions for each customer, responding to the specific operational needs of different industrial, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. The goal is to offer centrifugal pumps that not only improve the performance of the systems, but also reduce maintenance costs and ensure a long life over time.
Our custom pumps are truly tailored to the needs of customers
Our wide range of process pumps almost always allows the customer to find the tailor-made solution for their system. Thanks to custom pumps, our real challenge in terms of design and construction, we are able to meet even those needs that are more complex or that go beyond our general catalogue.
This is thanks to continuous communication with our Technical and R&D Department and to our continuous investments in technological development, which allow us to remain extremely competitive on the Italian and international markets.
Most of the requests we receive concern products such as CVN, a vertical axis centrifugal pump made of PP or PVDF thermoplastic material, or TMVN, a vertical execution single-stage magnetic drive centrifugal pump, with parts in contact with the fluid in PVDF. Or even steel centrifugal pumps that can be installed directly in line, such as our UTS-B IN LINE, which can be applied directly to pipes.
They are all ideally suited products for working in critical and complex environments, such as ATEX zones with potentially explosive atmospheres or applications with low NPSH (Net Positive Suction Head).
Magnetic drive and mechanical seal: more customisable solutions
The technology and materials we use for our magnetic drive and mechanical seal pumps allow a very high degree of versatility and modification. Configurations through optional additions, such as the energy-saving zirconium oxide containment shell or the diamond or graphite SSiC bushings, make it possible to adapt our pumps, for example, to be used both at high and low temperatures.
Depending on the customer’s specific needs, our top-of-the-range pumps are available in different types of steel, such as 316 or AISI 304 steel. There is also a wide range of pumps lined with various materials, including PP (polypropylene), PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), ETFE (ethylene tetrafluoroethylene) and PFA (perfluoroalkoxy).
All our solutions are designed to guarantee the highest quality and maximum safety of the work environments and the personnel involved. In addition to working directly with the distributor to ensure the satisfaction of each customer, our real strength lies in people; a team of experts in the sector who work with passion and are always up to date.
Choose CDR Pompe for the handling and movement of hazardous, corrosive and toxic liquids with maximum safety and reliability. Contact our sales department or R&D technical department for more information or requests. 2025 will continue to be a year full of innovation.
