The petrochemical industry produce semi-finished products derived from methane and hydrocarbons obtained by oil processing. The typical processes are the synthesis of nitric acid, sulphuric acid, methanol, urea, styrene, the production of fragrance molecule (benzene, toluene, xylene), of nitrile, of halogened hydrocarbon. All these substances are employed as raw material to synthesize other molecules.
The centrifugal pumps recommended for petrochemical industry are UCL, CCL, UTS, UTN-BL.
UTS are high efficiency single stage magnetic drive pumps, available in close-coupled and bareshaft execution. UTS pumps are produced in stainless steel AISI 316 and mount oil bearing bracket, recommended for H24 applications. Stainless steel offers total compatibility with petrochemical products.
In case of different chemical compatibility, UTN can be also lined with PFA, PVDF or polypropylene. Maintenance is simple thanks to a simple design and a small amount of components. Fluorine-plastic lining makes it particularly resistant and suitable for aggressive applications. UTN-BL is the close-coupled version suitable for corrosives which need high safety standards and high reliability.
UCL is a lined centrifugal pump which we manufacture with lining in PFA , PVDF or PP. Thanks to the lined wet parts, UCL pumps are perfect to handle corrosive and dangerous fluids. The lining minimum thickness is 4-5 mm. UCL pumps can mount single or double mechanical seals. Thanks to their modular design, those pumps mount a stainless steel shaft covered with PFA shaft sleeve.
